Since its beginnings, Rick’s Café has been committed to promoting live jazz in Casablanca. To celebrate our 20th anniversary, we had the honor of welcoming two eminent musicians from across the Atlantic to lead jazz master classes.
It was a remarkable celebration of our 20th anniversary, made possible by the talent and generosity of two esteemed artists from across the Atlantic, Paul Bollenback and Heidi Martin. Your presence and enthusiasm contributed immensely to the success of these enriching sessions. Thank you for your passion for jazz and for joining us in commemorating this special milestone.

Paul Bollenback
This guitarist, composer, and teacher has been bringing music into the world for nearly a half-century. He has performed with dozens of contemporary jazz royalty, and his virtuosity has been preserved on 88 recordings. Paul Bollenback not only has a gift for playing music but also teaching it, as is evident in position in jazz education at Columbia University and other institutions.
Heidi Martin
No stranger to musical globetrotting, vocalist and composer Heidi Martin has performed all over the U.S. and the world, including in Morocco. She has shared the stage with dozens musical luminaries, within and beyond the world of jazz. An accomplished songwriter, her emotive voice gives life to her provocative lyrics, as is evident in the fact that her compositions have been chosen for various soundtracks.
