Where to stay in Marrakech

Whether you stay at the most memorable hotel or at an intimate, charming local riad (Moroccan courtyard-style guest house), in the palm grove, in the Hivernage or in the medina, your experience will be very unique. It is therefore important to first identify the different neighborhoods and then, having determined the one you think is best for your stay in Marrakech, search carefully the hotels that might interest you. La Maison Arabe is Kathy’s favorite choice.

Nestled in the walls of Marrakech’s medina, La Maison Arabe is the essence of Moroccan elegance. Formerly an illustrious restaurant of the same name, run by an enterprising French woman and her daughter who fled to Morocco during WWII, the daughter took her time finding the right buyer after her mother’s death.  Fabrizio Ruspoli was that person, who undertook the renovation of two riads into an intimate boutique hotel which opened in 1997.  It provides an oasis of calm with authentic décor located a short walk from Jamaa El Fna, the famous square. The rooms are museums in miniature, with individual items hand selected by the owner. Get ready for a unique experience for La Maison Arabe offers the best in Moroccan hospitality.
